With more and more reports of equipment thefts now might be the time to think about taking precautions. Blackhawk provides a range of solutions for tracking assets, helping to ensure your assets are secure and can be recovered if they are ever lost or stolen.
- Track tools or light equipment with a battery-powered tracker. These can be set to provide daily check-in (health checks) with very long battery life (3-5 years) or they can be updated over the air to provide more frequent movement tracking (but consumes battery-life faster). In the event an asset is lost or stolen the device can be set to Recovery Mode to help locate assets even when they are on the move.
- Heavy machinery can be tracked with either battery-powered devices or wired-in telematics units, which provide the added benefits or run-time monitoring and utilisation analysis. We even have solutions that can remotely immobilise assets if they are stolen or in the case of hired equipment to encourage payment if customers are overdue.
- Vehicles can also be tracked, located and even immobilised if stolen.
- Any asset can be tagged with a rugged QR code, helping to provide low-cost inventory management and chain of custody. Just QR tags alone have proven to help identify when assets have been stolen by logging the date and location an asset was last scanned.
